The abandoned location of Withered Root does not have much information on the previous tenants and is a perfect location for players that wish to study the craft of their choice that is an important learning mechanism in the game

The past tenants could have been the current inhabitants of Stonewastes that were assumed to be an ancient Argonian tribe that settled in Stonewastes or moved back to Murkmire. The second possible inhabitants were Bretons that moved to Leyawiin

The story is just beginning and with a large population visiting Withered Root will tell the story how Withered Root was born with Swamp Jelly and Crimson Torchbug are mostly seen in the area with some possible confusion whether the type of Torchburg is a Red Torchbug or Crimson Torchbug. The Crimson Torchbug is just named Torchbug seen in Withered Root
